The fishing has been very good with lots of pods of fish. The Spring Tide is pushing a lot of water into the back bays and lakes making for some great oppertunities. Catch some good weather and you will have a phenominal day of fishing!
I will be in Rockport on vacation with my parents, brother, wife and son next week from May 17 to 24. I’m interested in doing some fly fishing. I just returned from a 2 week trip to Honduras and Belize and didn’t quite get the winter bug worked out.
What are your rates and what else can you tell me. I might would fish alone or my brother might come too.
I have May 20/21 or 23/24 available. Let me know which days you would like to fish. You may visit my website http://www.trimbleflyfishing.com for rates and more info.
The last few weeks the fishing has been phenomenal, the grass is coming on strong and the shrimp hatch is underway big time. Redfish are working in big pods dredging shrimp and feasting on anything that moves. The birds have keyed in on the pods of redfish and are working them over. It is very cool to pull into a lake and see Gulls and Terns working over pods, sure makes them easy to spot!!! We are into a full on summer cycle right now with Jacks and Spanish Mackrel working in the channels on good tides and in the mouths of large passes.
Enjoy these pictures from the past two weeks. Rich Miller of Kansas City with his first fly caught Black Drum and one of his first fly caught redfish. Another red falls for the Foxy Chicken! Kathy McDonald of Santa Fe with her first fly caught redfish. Excited birds working a large pod of redfish. Pod of tailers, seeing lots of these. Mike Emerson of Ft Worth putting another bend in the fly rod!!
I have a lot of open days in June and July so book your fishing days and don’t miss out on this action.
